These images create a bridge between two different themes ‘La Gente de las Setas’ and ‘Hybridisation’, both of which can be explored in more detail in the ‘THEMES’ section of the website. What you see here has emerged from the synthesis of two photographic images passed through, more-or-less, exactly the same process of layering in Photoshop. Some layers are flipped horizontally or vertically, and the relationship between the layers is changed by the mode of blending. When I first created the process, all the images I used were of flowers and the process itself remained exactly the same. As the experimentation developed, I added some new branches to the process, resulting in a variety of different auras, and so the process now has become a flexible tool that adapts to either, satisfying a desired outcome, or working in the best interests of the chosen progenitors. Due to the flipping that takes place the images have a very symmetrical appearance which I embrace but also fight against a little. There is no false colouring nor any painting in the process, only changes to saturation and contrast. The title of this exhibit translates as ‘Mushrooms: The Great Recycler’; the most prolific, profound, and persistent recycler on the planet. Here, images are recycled.

Lo que ves aquí ha surgido de la síntesis de dos imágenes fotográficas pasadas, más o menos, exactamente por el mismo proceso de capas en Photoshop.
